Compression Moulding is a process for the manufacturing of three-dimensional moulded foam and foam composite parts. This process allows us to seal and cut the final part in one operation.
The process begins with laminating the selected fabric onto both sides of EVA foam, which is then placed in a 2-piece mould. Heat and pressure are applied, which permanently mould the laminate into a semi-rigid product. In thermoforming fabric solutions, it is possible to add an even higher degree of functionality by varying fabric and foam types in one product.
This technique is used for making parts that require a highly defined part geometry, have intricate features, need to be held to critical dimensional tolerances or have varying wall thicknesses.

Our Approach
To enable fast switching from a design to production, we follow a set step-by-step plan. Each step in this process is needed to develop a high-quality textile product that can be easily scaled up in production.
